It has recently come to our attention that Donteh DeVoe, a motivational speaker who addressed our staff, students, and community members in August of 2019, is under investigation in Alaska for alleged sexual misconduct.
LCHS Board and Administrator had no knowledge of any misconduct by Mr. DeVoe prior to inviting him to speak.
LCHS takes the safety and security of its students very seriously. Upon being made aware of these circumstances we have reviewed the entire time Mr. DeVoe was here.
We are certain that Mr. DeVoe was not alone with any of our students at any time during his time here in Lustre. His meetings and interactions with LCHS students were in a public setting and attended by LCHS staff and community members.
