Looking back on Christmas Break

I remember my grandma saying, “a change of pace is as good as a rest.” All of the staff and students at LCHS were ready for a long break from school when December came. We’ve had the best snow in 5 years and it was a sparkling, white Christmas. For our international kids, Christmas break gives them a lengthy time in an American home to experience many different parts of family life.

When our students came back from Christmas break the first question we asked was, “What did you do over break?” They told us funny stories, road trip details, and how late they slept in. Only two of our students stayed in Lustre for the entirety of the school break and one student traveled out of country. Some of our kids had monumental, first time experiences that they will not forget.
