Let your conversation be always full
of grace, seasoned with salt,
so that you may know how
to answer everyone.
Colossians 4:6
Last night Lustre Christian High School held their 2016-2017 school year Opening Program in the gymnasium. It was attended by school staff, students, board members and community families. Mr. Young opened by reading the Bible verse above; the key verse for this school year.
The staff were introduced, including two new this year. Mrs. N. Mintz is the substitute History and PE teacher from Glendive, MT. Mrs. T. Reddig is teaching art. Both women were given the spotlight to share their testimony of faith in Christ. Though several schools at our level are understaffed, we are thankful that LCHS has a full staff at this time. However, the school is still actively seeking a 9-12 grade History and PE teacher.
The LCHS choir sang ‘Come to Jesus’ directed by music teacher M. Butler and
accompanied by Mrs. M. Marasco. This was followed with student introductions by class advisors. Our student numbers are low this semester with only 20 students currently enrolled. We would welcome more!! The LCHS dorm still has availability for the fall and spring semesters. Check out the school’s website for more details at LCHS Admissions.
Volleyball practice is already going strong. Their first match of the season was played in Culbertson on Saturday, Aug. 27th. The girls first home match is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 30 against Glasgow JV at 6:00pm. Come out to support the team and cheer these girls to victory!!
