Did you know that Lustre has a long history of solid track competitors? You wouldn’t be able to guess based on these past few years with our low participation numbers in this sport. One of the deterrents for students is the unpredictable Montana weather. The first day of track this season we still had large snow piles around the school yard. A few days later it rained. Some days are beautiful and sunny. The smart ones always have sun screen in their track bag, rain or shine.
Track is not a sport for the faint of heart. This sport is even more about personal best than just beating the guy in the next lane. Getting a “personal best” at a meet means success regardless of the competitor’s placement on the final roster.
Good luck Liv, Em, Ky, ET, and Ernie!!
