One of the great American cultural events of the year is the NFL Superbowl.  Even people who do not follow NFL American football teams love a good Superbowl Sunday party.  Good food, lots of laugh, and a good ribbing here and there.  This is a good experience for our international students.

The youth groups kids all got together at our MB Church youth leaders home.  They have a nice set up with TV upstairs and downstairs.  This allows for a group of serious watchers to get away from those who are just there for the party.  Lynn put out a nice spread of snacks and drinks:  cheese & crackers, sliced fruit, ham/cheese sandwiches, chips, sloppy joes, and nachos plus a selection of sweet treats.

At the beginning of the afternoon a sheet was passed around for bets on the half time and final scores.  Don’t worry, no money was on the table.  The winners would receive a bag of candy.  Most of us were cheering for the Eagles; the Patriots have had enough chances at the Superbowl in the last few years.

Good job Eagles!  They played a great game.   Sorry, Brady!

it requires perseverance,
self-denial,
hard work,
sacrifice,
dedication and
respect for authority.
